Gross Pay Calculators

This calculator works out the monthly gross pay that will yield a desired net pay by adding back PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and housing levy.

Note that there are cases where a given net pay corresponds to more than one gross pay. For example, with the default settings and no non-cash benefits, gross pay values of 95,000.00 and 94,998.57 both yield a net pay of 68,780.65. In such cases the calculator generates the minimum gross pay that corresponds to the given net pay.

Note that there are cases where a given net pay corresponds to more than one gross pay. For example, with the default settings and no non-cash benefits, gross pay values of 100,000.00 and 99,875.71 both yield a net pay of 73,384.65. In such cases the calculator generates the minimum gross pay that corresponds to the given net pay. Top

2023
This calculator works out PAYE due for 2023 given the taxable pay. It can work out PAYE for one up to twelve months. The calculation is divided into two because the tax rates changed in July 2023. Remember to key in 15% of the NHIF contribution as insurance relief.
2021-2022
This calculator works out PAYE due for 2021–2022 given the taxable pay. It can work out PAYE for one up to twelve months. For 2022, remember to key in 15% of the NHIF contribution as insurance relief.
2020
This calculator works out PAYE due for 2020 given the taxable pay. It can work out PAYE for one up to twelve months. The calculation is divided into two because the tax rates changed in April 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This calculator works out the monthly payments on a loan given the principal, interest rate and number of payments. Interest is assumed to accrue at the end of each month. The Government issues treasury bills at a discount from par at zero coupon rate for maturities of less than one year, usually 91 days or 182 days or 364 days. At maturity, the investor receives the face value amount.

The Government issues treasury bonds at a discount from par at either a zero or a fixed coupon rate for periods extending beyond one year. It makes fixed interest payments to the investor semi-annually. At maturity, the investor receives the face value amount.
